These 5 Singers Accused of Song Stealing
1. Katy Perry
An American music producer, Dillion Francis, grumpy
because Katy Perry stole his idea for “Roar” he said. Before the “Roar” was
released, he said he had uploaded the video first, with title “Messages”
complete with its lyrics claimed similar to Roar.
2. Usher
Ernest Lee Straughter accused Usher of stealing his
song at 2004. He said Usher copied “Burn” from Earnest’s song titled “Reasons”,
which he wrote in 1998. According to Earnest, Usher can get access his songs
from Warren G, who has collaborated with Usher or him.
3. Owl City
Remember with “Good Time” sung by Owl City and Carly
Rae Jepsen? A songwriter and singer from Alabama, Allyson Nichole Burnett even
ask both star to the green table. According to her, Owl City stole her song
“Ah, It’s a Love Song” and put the result on “Good Time”. Even she said, She
has the same voice with Carly.
4. Alicia Keys
Songwriter Earl Shuman accused Alicia Keys of using
some parts of his song in Her megahit “Girl on Fire”. Of course, she used it
without the permission from Earl who created the “Hey There Lonely Girl” song.
Really? I don’t know.
5. Taylor Swift
The lyrics of “All Too Well” by Taylor Swift claimed that
its actually ideas from Matt Nathanson. Matt wrote ,” And I’ll forget about you long enough to forget why I need to.” Meanwhile,
Taylor wrote ,” And I forget about you
long enough to forget why I needed to.” Beside, Matt is a well-known
musician in United State and Taylor was known to be a fan of Matt.
